Horspath Wildlife Conservation Area
Volunteers of all ages meet monthly (usually on a Saturday morning, but check which one on the noticeboard by the gate in Butts Road) to look after the woods, wildflower meadow, frogs and toads, bird nesting boxes, paths, ponds, wetland, and the bat tunnel in this 5-acre Wildlife Conservation Area. Founded in 1974 to preserve Shotover in its natural state, against development, for free public access - now monitoring wildlife at the East end of Shotover - local contact: Martin Harris: 872327.

Join us for as long or as short a time as you like and contribute to the important conservation work that SW is carrying out on Shotover.
