Building A Strong Horspath Community
Monday 6th September 2010 - , St. Giles Parochial Church Council is holding a very special meeting at 7:30pm in the Methodist Chapel. All villagers are invited, so please come and voice your ideas. See the poster for details.
Horspath Parish Council Meetings
The monthly meetings are held in the Village Hall at 8:00 pm on Tuesdays, usually the first Tuesday of each month. Members of the public are welcome. Meeting dates in 2010 are:

Tuesday 7th September - Monthly Horspath Parish Council Meeting, in Horspath Village Hall at 8:00pm. Villagers are warmly welcome to attend. The Agenda for the meeting is now available to view in PDF format.
Senior Residents' Club
All meetings are held on a Wednesday in the Main Hall.

Horspath Garden Club
Horspath Garden Club meets on the second Tuesday of every month. In Horspath Methodist Church, at 8.00pm. We welcome everybody so come and enjoy an interesting talk followed by refreshments and a time to catch up on all the gardening news!! There will be a charge to cover the costs of visiting speakers and the hire of the hall. For further information contact Sheila Frankum 872793.
In September we will be introducing our new programme for the coming season. We will still be meeting on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 8.00pm, with refreshments at 9.00pm. It is hoped to meet still in the Methodist Chapel and all are welcome. See the 2010/2011 calendar of events.

Tuesday 14th September 2010 - 'Discovering Day Lilies', how Gerald Sinclair the holder of the National Collection travelled the world to find the different varieties.
Tuesday 12th October 2010 - 'Herbs and their Uses', Ann McIntyre a medical herbalist and Author will give a passioned talk about herbs in the garden.
Tuesday 9th November 2010 - 'Plants and Exploration in New Zealand'. The return of Tom Price from the Oxford Botanic Garden with a talk about his visit to this country that is so aligned with ours.
Wheatley Commmunity Action Group
Saturday 16th Oct. 2010 - 09:30 to 11:00, Swap Shop at Merry Bells, High Street, Wheatley.

Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal
In March, every year, Marie Curie Cancer Care holds their flagship event, The Great Daffodil Appeal. This year the Oxfordshire fundraising office have made it their aim to recruit 150 new volunteer collectors to support and assist them at the 42 Daffodil collections that will be held in towns and stores all over Oxfordshire. Shotover Wildlife
Conservation Work Days - Second Sunday of the month, 10am to 3pm (Join us any time between these hours). Shotover Car Park, Headington. If after 10am, see map on notice board or phone SW mobile (Conservation Days only) on 07881 977481, to find out where we are. Join us for as long or as short a time as you like and contribute to the important conservation work that SW is carrying out on Shotover.
