17 July 2008, Minister Hazel Blears allows Oxford City Council to proceed with plans to develop 4,000 houses in Green Belt fields south of Grenoble Road near the Kassam Stadium. The area is within the South Oxfordshire District, not Oxford City. Oxford City Council will now have to put forward planning applications to SODC.
