Horspath Garden Club, Photgraphic Competition 2008

The first Horspath Garden Club Photographic Competition was held in 2008. At the March meeting guest speaker Brian Peart spoke about "Photographing Flowers and Gardens", and our Photographic Competition was launched. Brian judged our entries in November. There were 75 photos entered of which 28 were Commended by the judge, who complimented the club on the high standard generally achieved. The evening was enjoyed by all and a repeat competition is likely in the future.

Brian Peart awarded the prizes as follows:

The first three prize winners were published on the "Village News and Event" page of the Horspath website. It was decided that as the standard was so high, all 28 Commended photos, including the 3 prize winners, would be published on the website. They have been grouped for better display. Within each group the photos will be shown at full size, or 3/4 size, for about 5 seconds each, as in a slide show. The slide show will continue until you click on the "Close" link which returns you to this page. If the full size photos are too large for your monitor or screen, please try the 3/4 size.

Please note: you must have javascript enabled to see the photos cycle one after the other. If you do not see the slide show, and you don't know how to enable javascript for our website, please refer to our "Website viewing assistance" page.
