July 2010HAA "Big Lunch" at the allotment site. A chance for plot holders and families to get together. (see Our Progress in Photos).
June 2010HAA Chairman discovers source of old spring on bramble covered hill above our plots. (see Our Progress in Photos).
Apr. 2010HAA joins the National Society of Allotment & Leisure Gardeners, membership number S3616A.
Easter Sunday and brave plot holders start work in wet conditions. The next weekend the weather was good. (see Our Progress in Photos).
Mar. 2010Working party of 17 members and their families cut the roadside hedge down to size on a lovely sunny day (see Our Progress in Photos).
The site is harrowed by a neighbouring allotment holder. The plots on the western side are the first to be marked out (see Our Progress in Photos), then the eastern side plots.
Jan. 2010Oxford Mail interview HAA members, take photos and publish an article about the Allotments Project.
Co-operative Community Fund awards HAA funds to assist site reclamation.
Dec. 2009A revised site plan was drawn up and the allocation of plots commenced. Plots are allocated in order of application.
A new recruitment drive commenced.
Group meeting held to vote on Diocese options. Unaninmously in favour of individuals renting plots from the Diocese, not leasing by HAA.
Sept. 2009 Farmer Ben from Haddenham sprays the site (see Our Progress in Photos).

July 2009 GLM has marker posts erected on site to show boundary with rest of fallow field.
Webmaster puts new "Allotments" pages on Horspath website.
Group meeting in Horspath Village Hall; agree to research spraying and ploughing.
The Site was surveyed by a Horspath applicant and CAD processed by a Garsington applicant.
In July and August, another Garsington applicant researched funding and a Horspath applicant researched site spraying and ploughing.
June 2009 Site meeting with GLM, he confirms Diocese Policy that we can go ahead but must pay for all site reclamation.
In June and July site visits by applicants.
May 2009New policy approved by Diocese Glebe Committee (see The Diocese Proposal).
April 2009 Given name of Diocese Director of Glebe and Buildings and enquire about Allotments Policy.
GLM informs that new Diocese Policy will be discussed in May.
Applicants informed of probable new policy (i.e. Diocese will not pay for site reclamation).
10 of original 20 applicants withdrew because of financial cost and physical effort required.
Oct. 2008 List of applicants' queries sent to GLM.
GLM sends responses to queries (see Questions & Replies).
July 2008 GLM informs that farmer will vacate the site at end of September.
GLM marks map with area for allotments (see Aerial View) and supplies sample contract.
June 2008Names of 4 more applicants sent to GLM.
May 2008 Poster designed and advert put on Horspath website.
Allotment advert put in Village Shop, Notice Board and Parish Magazine.
Names of 10 applicants sent to GLM.
April 2008GLM informs that if 6 people apply he will "further" the project, just in time for the Annual Parish Meeting (APM).
March 2008Allotments discussed at Parish Council meeting.
Oct. 2007Ask GLM how many applicants needed for disused land to be reclaimed.
Sept. 2007 First enquiry to webmaster about allotments in Horspath.
Given name of Glebe Land Manager (GLM) by the Diocesan Church House.
Make contact with GLM, informed of old unused allotment plots in Cuddesdon Road.
